Northern based express Italian groupage specialist, Viamaster International, have seen a rapid increase in traffic to central Italy since the introduction of their express service to Prato, near Florence, from the beginning of 2015. Developed to meet the needs of the textile industry, in harmony with the time critical demands of their automotive and engineering customers, the service has been an instant hit with both existing clients and businesses new to the company.

Viamaster International Managing Director, Paul Pedley, said “Using a relay system of trucks on the continent we achieve a market leading transit time, deadline sensitive consignments leaving the north of England on Friday evening can be delivered to a large area of central Italy the following Monday. We are providing our clients a service level usually only achievable with a dedicated van but for a fraction of the cost”.

Viamaster operate daily services to and from Italy, in addition to Prato their network of Italian depots includes locations in Milan, Turin, Padova (nr Venice), Bologna & Rome.
